To clear the extra rush and for providing transportation to pandal hoppers during the Durga Puja days, Eastern Railway will provide special local trains in Howrah and Sealdah line. This facility will be available from 2 October 2011 to 6 October 2011.
In Sealdah division twenty suburban puja special local trains will ply in midnight during Durga Puja days of 2011. These Durga Puja special trains will ply from Sealdah to Ranaghat, Bongaon, Dankuni, Budge Budge , Baruipur and Naihati.
Similarly in Howrah line eight Durga Puja special trains will ply from Howrah to Burdwan (mail line), Burdwan (cord line), Bandel, Tarakeswar, Seoraphuli .
Howrah-Burdwan MEMU (main Line, train number M-201), will stop at all stations between Howrah and Bandel during the Durga Puja days in 2011.
Computerised railway reservation centres in Kolkata and Howrah areas will operate only from 8 am to 2 pm on 3, 4, 5, 6 and 11 October, 2011.
