Puri-Shalimar Bi-Weekly Summer Special Train.

08483/08484 Puri-Shalimar-Puri Summer Special Train from Puri will leave at 2350 hrs on every Sunday & Wednesday between 21st April to 30th June 2024. In the return direction, this train from Shalimar will leave at 1945 hrs on every Monday and Thursday between 22nd April to 1st July 2024.

Puri-Nizamuddin Weekly Summer Special Train.

08475/08476 Puri-Nizamuddin-Puri Summer Special Train from Puri will leave at 0450 hrs on every Friday between 19th April to 28th June 2024. In the return direction, this train from Nizamuddin will leave at 2335 hrs on every Saturday between 20th April to 29th June 2024.

 Malatipatapur (Puri)-Shalimar Weekly Summer Special Train.

02839/02840 Shalimar-Malatipatapur (Puri)-Shalimar Summer Special Train from Shalimar will leave at 2125 hrs on every Sunday between 14th April to 30th June 2024. In the return direction, this train from Malatipatapur will leave at 2350 hrs on every Monday between 15th April to 1st July 2024.

Western Railways has announced to run 220 summer special trains to manage extra rush of passengers. 

Train No. 09097/09098 Bandra Terminus-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra AC Superfast Special (Weekly) [22 trips]

Train No. 09097 Bandra Terminus – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra AC Superfast Special will depart from Bandra Terminus at 21.50 hrs every Sunday and reach Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 10.00 hrs on Tuesday. This train will run from 21 April 2024 to 30 June 2024. Similarly, Train No. 09098 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – Bandra Terminus AC Superfast Special will depart from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 21.40 hrs every Tuesday and reach Bandra Terminus at 10.10 hrs on Thursday. This train will run from 23 April 2024 to 2 July 2024.

This train will stop at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Mathura, Delhi Safdarjung, Ambala Cantt, Dhandari Kalan, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot and Jammu Tawi stations in both directions. 

This train will have AC 3-tier and AC chair car coaches.

Train No. 09183 Mumbai Central-Banaras AC Special will depart from Mumbai Central at 22.50 hrs every Wednesday and reach Banaras at 10.30 hrs on Friday. This train will run from April 17, 2024 to June 26, 2024. Similarly, Train No. 09184 Banaras-Mumbai Central AC Special will depart from Banaras at 14.30 hrs every Friday and reach Mumbai Central at 04.20 hrs on Sunday. This train will run from 19 April 2024 to 28 June 2024.

Train No. 09111 Vadodara-Gorakhpur Special will depart from Vadodara at 19.00 hrs every Monday and reach Gorakhpur at 23.30 hrs the next day. This train will run from 15 April 2024 to 24 June 2024. Similarly, Train No. 09112 Gorakhpur-Vadodara Special will depart from Gorakhpur at 05.00 hrs every Wednesday and reach Vadodara at 08.35 hrs the next day. Train No. 09309 Indore-New Delhi Superfast Special will depart from Indore at 17.00 hrs every Friday and Sunday and reach New Delhi at 04.30 hrs the next day. This train will run from 19 April 2024 to 30 June 2024. Similarly, Train No. 09310 New Delhi-Indore Superfast Special will depart from New Delhi at 07.30 hrs every Saturday and Monday and reach Indore at 20.15 hrs on the same day. This train will run from 20 April 2024 to 1 July 2024. 

This train will stop at Dewas, Ujjain, Nagda, Shamgarh, Ramganj Mandi, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bharatpur and Mathura stations in both directions.

2024 South Eastern Summer Special Trains

 To manage extra rush of the passengers during Summer, South Eastern Railway has decided to run Summer Special Trains as per the following schedule:

   02863/02864Howrah – Yesvantpur - Howrah Summer Specials:

02863 Howrah - Yesvantpur Special will leave Howrah every Thursday at 12.40 hrs from 18.04.2024 to 27.06.2024 and will reach Yesvantpur at 00.15 hrs, the third day. In the return direction, 02864 Yesvantpur - Howrah Special will leave Yesvantpur every Saturday at 05.00 hrs from 20.04.2024 to 29.06.2024 and will arrive Howrah at 13.25 hrs, the next day. 

The Special train will have stoppages at Kharagpur and Baleshwar in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.

06507/06508 SMVT Bengaluru – Kharagpur – SMVT Bengaluru Summer Specials:

06507 SMVT Bengaluru – Kharagpur Special will leave SMVT Bengaluru every Friday from 12.04.2024 to 17.05.2024 at 15.50 hrs and will arrive Kharagpur at 02.45 hrs, the third day. In the return direction, 06508 Kharagpur – SMVT Bengaluru Special will leave Kharagpur every Monday from 15.04.2024 to 20.05.2024 at 14.00 hrs and will reach SMVT Bengaluru at 19.50 hrs, the next day. 

The Special train will have stoppage at Baleshwar in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.

06081/06082 Kochuveli – Shalimar – Kochuveli Summer Specials:

06081 Kochuveli-Shalimar Special will leave Kochuveli every Friday from 12.04.2024 to 31.05.2024 at 16.20 hrs and will arrive Shalimar at 13.40 hrs, the third day. In the return direction, 06082 Shalimar- Kochuveli Special will leave Shalimar every Monday from 15.04.2024 to 03.06.2024 at 14.20 hrs and will reach Kochuveli at 09.55 hrs, the third day. 

The Special train will have stoppages at Baleshwar, Kharagpur and Sanragachi in South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.

2024 Central Railway Summer Special Trains

CSMT-Mau Special (4 trips)
The 01079 special service will depart from CSMT Mumbai at 22.35 hrs on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, and May 1, 2024. It will arrive at Mau at 11.10 hrs on the third day. 
The 01080 special service will depart from Mau at 13.10 hrs on Friday, April 12, 2024, and May 3, 2024. It will arrive at CSMT Mumbai at 00.40 hrs on the third day. 
The special train will halts at key stations such as Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, and Bhopal, among others. 
The train composition will consist of 2 AC-III Tier, 18 Sleeper Class, and 2 Luggage cum Guard’s Brake Van, totaling 22 ICF Coaches.

LTT-Kochuveli Weekly Special (24 trips)

The 01463 weekly special service will depart from LTT Mumbai at 16.00 hrs every Thursday from April 11, 2024, to June 27, 2024, reaching Kochuveli at 20.45 hrs the next day. 
Similarly, the 01464 weekly special service will depart from Kochuveli at 16.20 hrs every Saturday from April 13, 2024, to June 29, 2024, arriving at LTT Mumbai at 21.50 hrs the next day. 
The route will include stops at prominent stations such as Thane, Ratnagiri, Madgaon Junction, and Ernakulam Town. 
The train composition will include 1 First AC, 1 First AC cum AC-II Tier, 2 AC-II Tier, 6 AC-III Tier, and 8 General Second Class coaches, including 2 Guard’s Brake Vans.

Railways will run 26 trips Summer special trains between Pune and Virangna Lakshmibai Jn to clear the extra rush of passengers. The details are as under:

Train No. 01921 special will leave Pune at 15.15 hrs on every Thursday from 06.04.2023 to 29.06.2023 (13 trips) and will arrive Virangana Lakshmibai Jn. at 09.35 hrs next day.

Train No. 01922 special will leave Virangana Lakshmibai Jn. at 12.50 hrs on every Wednesday from 05.04.2023 to 28.06.2023 (13 trips) and will arrive Pune at 11.35 hrs next day.

Summer Special Train Silchar-Kolkata-Silchar

Railways will run Weekly Summer special trains between Silchar and Kolkata to clear the extra rush of passengers. The details are as under:

In order to cope up with the extra rush of passengers, it has been decided to continue the services of Train No. 05639 / Train No. 05640 Silchar – Kolkata – Silchar festival special train as per its existing stoppages & timings.

Train No. 05639 UP Silchar – Kolkata festival special will leave Silchar on every Thursday in between 19.01.2023 & 13.07.2023 (26 trips) and Train No. 05640 Kolkata – Silchar festival special will leave Kolkata on every Friday in between 20.01.2023 & 14.07.2023 (26 trips).

The booking of extended run of Kolkata – Silchar festival special (Train No. 05640) is available through PRS & internet with 120 days’ ARP (Advanced Reservation Period). South Western Railway Summer Months Special Train 2023

EXTENSION OF PERIODICITY OF 10 SPECIAL EXPRESS TRAIN SERVICES

South Western Railway has decided to extend the services of the following ten special express train services as per the details mentioned below:

1. Train No. 06243 KSR Bengaluru – Hosapete Daily Passenger Special, which was notified to run earlier from KSR Bengaluru up to March 12, 2023, will be further extended up to September13, 2023.

2. Train No. 06244 Hosapete – KSR Bengaluru Daily Passenger Special, which was notified to run earlier from Hosapete up to March 13, 2023, will be further extended up to September 14, 2023.

3. Train No. 06563 Yesvantpur – Murdeshwar Weekly Express Special, which was notified to run earlier from Yesvantpur up to March 25, 2023, will be further extended from April 1 to June 24, 2023 for 13 trips.

4. Train No. 06564 Murdeshwar – Yesvantpur Weekly Express Special, which was notified to run earlier from Murdeshwar up to March 26, 2023, will be further extended from April 2 to June 25, 2023 for 13 trips.

5. Train No. 07355 SSS Hubballi – Rameswaram Weekly Express special, which was notified to run earlier from SSS Hubballi up to March 25, 2023, will be further extended from April1 to June 24, 2023 for 13 trips.

6. Train No. 07356 Rameswaram – SSS Hubballi Weekly Express, which was notified to run earlier from Rameswaram up to March 26, 2023, will be further extended from April 2 to June 25, 2023 for 12 trips.

7. Train No. 06545 Yesvantpur – Vijayapura Daily Express Special, which was notified to run earlier from Yesvantpur up to March 31, 2023, will be furtherextendedup to June 30, 2023.

8. Train No. 06546 Vijayapura – Yesvantpur Daily Express Special, which was notified to run earlier from Vijayapura up to April 1, 2023, will be furtherextended up to July 1, 2023.

9. Train No. 07377 Vijayapura – Mangaluru Jn. Daily Express Special, which was earlier notified to run up to March 31, 2023, will be further extended up to June30, 2023.

10. Train No. 07378 Mangaluru Jn. – Vijayapura Daily Express Special, which was earlier notified to run up to April 1, 2023, will be further extended up to July 1, 2023.

WR EXTENDS TRIPS OF 4 PAIRS OF SUPERFAST SPECIAL TRAINS

For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway has extended the trips of 4 pairs of Special Trains on Special Fare on the same composition, timings and path.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, details of these trains are as under:

1.Train No. 02200 Bandra Terminus – Virangana Lakshmibai (Jhansi) Weekly Superfast Special (every Saturday) has been extended upto 1st July, 2023. And Train No. 02199 Virangana Lakshmibai (Jhansi) – Bandra Terminus Weekly Superfast Special (every Thursday) has been extended upto 29th June, 2023.

2.Train No. 01906 Ahmedabad – Kanpur Central Weekly Superfast Special (every Tuesday) has been extended upto 27th June, 2023. And Train No. 01905 Kanpur Central – Ahmedabad Weekly Superfast Special (every Monday) has been extended upto 26th June, 2023.

3.Train No. 04166 Ahmedabad – Agra Cantt. Weekly Superfast Special (every Thursday) has been extended upto 29th June, 2023. And Train No. 04165 Agra Cantt. – Ahmedabad Weekly Superfast Special (every Wednesday) has been extended upto 28th June, 2023.

4.Train No. 04168 Ahmedabad – Agra Cantt. Weekly Superfast Special (every Monday) has been extended upto 26th June, 2023. And Train No. 04167 Agra Cantt. – Ahmedabad Weekly Superfast Special (every Sunday) has been extended upto 25th June, 2023.

The booking of extended trips of Train Nos. 02200, 01906, 04166 & 04168 will open from 17th February, 2023 at PRS counters & on IRCTC website. For detailed information regarding timings of halts and composition, passengers may please visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in

There will be no change in timings, stoppages, composition and days of service of the above trains.

SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY EXTENSION OF THE SERVICE OF TRAINS

The service of following trains will be extended with existing timings, stoppages, composition and fare as per details mentioned below: –

1.The service of Train No. 07335 Belagavi – Secunderabad Express was notified to run earlier up to 30.03.2023 will be extended further from 31.03.2023 to 30.06.2023.

2.The service of Train No. 07336 Secunderabad – Belagavi Express was notified to run earlier up to 31.03.2023 will be extended further from 01.04.2023 to 01.07.2023.

3.The service of Train No. 06223 Shivamogga Town – MGR Chennai Central Bi – Weekly Express was notified to run earlier up to 28.03.2023 will be extended further from 02.04.2023 to 27.06.2023.

4.The service of Train No. 06224 MGR Chennai Central – Shivamogga Town Bi – Weekly Express was notified to run earlier up to 29.03.2023 will be extended further from 03.04.2023 to 28.06.2023.

Northern Railway Summer Special Trains 2024 Full List

To manage extra rush of passengers, Northern Railway has introduced a series of summer special trains. 

Gorakhpur Jn–Amritsar-Gorakhpur Jn Train No. 05005/ 05006

This train will run from April 24 to June 26 on every Wednesday while the journey of Amritsar - Gorakhpur Special will be effective from April 25 to June 27 on every Thursday.

Amritsar-Chhapra-Amritsar Special Train No. 05049/ 05050

This train will run from April 26 to June 28 on every Friday and the return Amritsar-Chhapra special will start on April 27 and run till June 29 on every Saturday. The coach composition consists of general, AC and sleeper coaches.

Bhagalpur-New Delhi-Bhagalpur Special Train No. 03483/ 03484

This train, which started  on April 13 will operate till May 28 on every Saturday and Tuesday while New Delhi-Bhagalpur Special, which started  from April 14 will run till May 29 on every Sunday and Wednesday.

Malda Town-New Delhi-Malda Town Train No. 03413/ 03414

This train will run from April 11 till May 30 on every Thursday and Sunday while New Delhi- Maldatown Special, which started service from April 12, will run till May 31 on every Friday and Monday.

Guwahati-Jammu Tawi-Guwahati Special Train No. 05656/05655

This train will run from Guwahati to Jammu Tawi from May 6 to July 1 on Monday while the return journey services will be available from May 9 till July 4 on very Tuesday. The coach composition will include 2 tier AC, 3 tier AC and sleeper coaches.

Prayagraj-Anand Vihar T-Prayagraj superfast summer special train Train No. 04145/04146

This train will run from Prayagraj to Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi from April 26 to May 31 on every Friday. The return journey services from Anand Vihar Terminal to Prayagraj will be available from April 27 till June 1 on very Saturday. The coach composition will include 2 tier AC, 3 tier AC sleeper and general coaches.

Mumbai LTT– Banaras –Mumbai LTT (Weekly) Special Train No. 01053/01054

This train provides service from Mumbai LTT to Banaras on Wednesdays. This service, which started  from April 3 will operate till June 26. Banaras – Mumbai LTT will operate on Thursdays. This service will be effective from April 4 till June 27. Key stops of the train include Kalyan Jn, Igatpuri, Nashik Road, Bhusaval Jn, Khandwa Jn, Itarsi Jn, Pipariya, Jabalpur, Katni Jn, Maihar, Satna Jn, Manikpur Jn, Prayagraj Chheoki Jn, and Varanasi. The coach composition consists of general, AC and sleeper coaches.

2023 Poush Mela Special Train Details

Shantiniketan's traditional Poush mela is starting again. Due to natural reasons, there is a fear of massive crowd this time. Keeping that in mind, Eastern Railway will run special trains. Poushmela tourists will get the opportunity to travel in general second class. This special train will travel from Howrah to Rampurhat on December 25, 26 and 27.

According to Eastern Railway sources, special trains will run from Howrah to Bandel, Burdwan to Rampurhat. Paushmela special train will leave from Howrah at 7:15 am. It will reach Rampurhat at 11 am. Starting from Rampurhat at 3 pm it will return to Howrah at 7 pm. This special train will stop at Bandel, Burdwan, Guskara, Bolpur (Shantiniketan), Tanhik, Ahmedpur and Saithia en route.

2023-24 Christmas - New Year Specials between Panvel and Madgaon

 The Panvel – Madgaon specials, numbered 01427/01428, will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from December 22, 2023, to December 31, 2023. The service includes a total of 12 trips.

Departure and Arrival

Departure from Panvel at 21.10 hrs (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Arrival at Madgaon Jn. at 6.50 hrs next day

Return Journey

Departure from Madgaon Jn. at 8.00 hrs (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
